The original plastic fire extinguisher cabinet
Won't dent.
Won't rust.
Ships at 4½ lb.
Cato Chief and Warrior cabinets are injection-molded in the USA from .110 in high-impact polystyrene — the same cabinets the fire-protection trade has bought since 1984, from $32.95, with the MR-safe Island Chief for imaging suites.

Why plastic
Where steel gives up
Car washes, marinas, pool rooms, food plants, farms. Salt and wash-down eat painted steel; polystyrene shrugs it off and wipes clean.
The MRI cabinet
The Island Chief uses no magnetic parts and is labeled MR safe to ASTM F2503 — the extinguisher cabinet you can take inside the 5-gauss line.
Freight that makes sense
A steel 10 lb cabinet ships at roughly 12 lb. The Chief ships at 4.5 lb and nests ten to a carton, so orders move by parcel, not pallet.
